Join me for an inspired, 7 day creative retreat and workshop, in a 17th century house, that sits next to a mountain stream, where you enjoy delicious artisan meals prepared daily by a personal chef to support time to create, paint, rest and explore surrounding villages, markets, and fields filled with poppies.
We will have a relaxed gathering in the evening of Friday, June 16th with light snacks and wine. And Saturday we will begin by drawing inspiration and ephemera from a region rich with beautiful surroundings. Cathar castles, medieval villages, a museum, flea markets and fairs await your exploration while the art studio awaits your creative expression.
Experience the gorgeous landscape of the Languedoc region of France and the unique cultural resources of its artists, past and present. We’ll be based at the retreat center La Cascade, a beautifully restored stone house in the village of Durfort, one hour east of Toulouse.
The Workshop: After breakfast, there will be instructed Studio Time each morning, a combination of creative inspiration and painting, open studio in the afternoon and evening, and several field trips. Field trips are optional if you prefer to refresh, stay home and nap, work in the studio, or explore on your own.
La Cascade: Bedrooms are double occupancy (two twin beds) with shared bathrooms. The beautiful art studio is located on the third floor of the house and is available to work in whenever you want. Living room, dining room and a large outside terrace that goes down to the river are part of our home. The price of the workshop includes all of your meals except for a lunch or dinner out.
Workshop price of $2,400 includes:
